This journal marked a turning point in the history of dreams, a milestone. Ordinary dreamers were given their own forum for sharing their dreams and their insights about dreamwork. The publication of this journal created a community of learners researching dreams. As the slogan went, "every dreamer is a researcher and every dream is an experiment in consciousness." The Sundance journals showed that it was possible for the average person to participate and make a contribution to the understanding of dreams and their constructive use in daily life. The ordinary dreamer thus scooped the academic dream scientist, who at that time did not have any publication devoted to dreams.
    Today Sundance is a collector's item. We are republishing the six issues here, a few pages at a time, to make this historic document available to everyone. Thirty plus years after its publication, its articles are still relevant, and its prophetic visionary quest, "The Sundance Experiment" is quite timely.
